Rossini Art Site can be called an open-air museum, a path between art and nature, in which more than 10 hectares of greenery are enlivened by important and striking works of contemporary art. The rich collection was formed, starting in the 1950s, thanks to the passion and expertise of entrepreneur Alberto Rossini, who collected works here that tell and revive the history of Italian sculpture from the postwar period to the present. Among the artists that can be admired appear names such as Turcato, Cascella, Consagra, Melotti, Munari, Pomodoro and Varisco, who, on good terms with Rossini, created unique masterpieces for RAS. Also enriching the itinerary are works by Arman, Cesar, Dietman, Nagasawa, Oppenheim, Spoerri, and Tinguely, as well as younger, less established artists. Also noteworthy for architecture lovers, is the entrance pavilion, designed by New York-based designer James Wines in perfect harmony with the context, and Massimiliano Fuksas's "House of Peace" first exhibited at the 2000 Venice Biennale. The park is not only for those who love culture, but is also ideal for a simple day outdoors among the greenery and, for children, to be in the company of animals such as ponies, horses and donkeys or to participate in the many initiatives offered.
