The Autodromo Nazionale Monza, inside Monza Park hosts the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, sports races, concerts and international events
A legend that has lived on for over 100 years. On the Monza track, from 1922 to the present day, fundamental pages of the history of world motoring and motorcycling have been written.
TheMonza National Autodrome, the flagship of Monza sports, was built within the Monza Park in 1922 at the behest of the Automobile Club of Milan, on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Association's activities. It was built in only 110 days to a design by architect Alfredo Rosselli, and as early as September 1922 the second Automobile Grand Prix of Italy was competed.
Since then the track, one of the oldest in the world, has entered the legend of motor sports, always hosting, except during the war period, the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Italy, but also dozens of other events of world renown. The location within the park gives rise to a unique scenery that is also engaging from a naturalistic point of view. Exhibitions, musical events and guided tours with laps of the track are also organized inside, allowing visitors to get to know the Autodrome from every aspect.
