The cottage was commissioned by Baldassare Strazza from engineer Giuseppe Pirola in 1903. The exterior still shows the memory of the eclectic style of the time, especially in the smooth ashlar ground-floor facing and the exposed brick second floor.
In the window frames, the concrete balconies with wrought-iron railings on the second floor, and the vegetal fascia at the top of the building, on the other hand, decorative elements are concentrated. The enclosure consists of concrete pillars decorated with floral motifs, where recurs in particular that of the daisy, and gratings in which appear the elements of typical Art Nouveau style, also repeated in the railing of the interior staircase.
