Casa Borgonovo overlooks Largo Mazzini and is adorned with a rich repertoire of plants and female busts. Of great impact is the loggia on the second floor, supported by six concrete female figures and surmounted by a frieze with festive putti and bouquets of flowers, an obvious reference to Milanese examples such as Casa Capanini and Palazzo Castiglioni di Sommaruga, masterpieces of Art Nouveau.
The Palazzo with caryatids, designed by architect Romolo Canesi, still retains an unaltered charm thanks to the decorativism of the projecting parts and window frames. It constitutes, for those arriving in the city (in fact, it is located on the street that connects the Station to the center of Monza), a scenic welcome.
