Constructed between 1831 and 1833 to a design by architect Giacomo Tazzini, the "Cavriga Bridge," one of the four bridges that cross the Lambro River within Monza Park, has a single elliptical arch made of stump, with parapets made of stone columns connected by iron structure.
There are several rumors that try to explain the derivation of the name. The one that seems the most truthful states that the name derives from the Lombard "cavra" (goat) because it is said that goats used to gather to graze along the banks of the Lambro near the bridge.
