The Milan Golf Club was founded in 1928 thanks to Senator Giuseppe Bevione. The design of the course was entrusted to golf architect James Peter Gannon and the construction management to Cecil Blandford who also became secretary of the Club. In 1958 the current Club House, one of the most beautiful in Europe, and the third course were built, bringing the course to 27 holes. In 1987 the Club was awarded the Coni's "Stella d'oro".
The three courses wind their way through the beautiful Monza Park, which covers an area of nearly 700 hectares, one of Europe's largest historic parks and the largest entirely surrounded by walls.
The first and second courses make up the classic competition course, the scene of no fewer than six Italian Opens and countless international and national championships.
The third course is considered technically more challenging as it is the most meandering with small greens and also well defended by numerous bunkers.
