In a perhaps little-known corner near the San Giorgio Mills, the Stone Bridge allows one to cross the Lambro River at the northernmost point where the river makes its entrance into Monza Park.
Constructed in 1805 to a design by Canonica, it turns out to be the oldest of the four bridges in the Park.
The arched bridge is covered in stump and is structured over four spans, each of which was originally equipped with iron gates to prevent game from escaping.
Surrounded by a dense strip of little-used woodland, the bridge turns out to be an excellent location for all birdwatchers who, in addition to observation, can easily listen to and recognize the different songs.a
After fifty years of neglect, it has been restored since 2005.
