Risalable to the 8th century, the building has three naves divided by columns; behind the altar is a 15th-century fresco of the Madonna Enthroned; in the right aisle, another image of the Virgin and Child, known as the Madonna of Help. Apparently, in the 16th century an image of Our Lady of St. Eugene gave miraculous signs.
The small church, still isolated from the urban context, is an ideal place for meditation and prayer.
