The collections of the Verri Museum, established in 1977 around important archaeological finds, contain traces and artifacts about the history and culture of the area. On June 8, 1975, 2239 Roman coins were found in a single block at Cascina Sant'Andrea in Biassono, and excavations also uncovered the remains of a Roman villa. From this first nucleus, initially displayed in the civic hall, began the foundation of the museum, which, over the years, was enriched with the recovery and restoration of popular culture objects by the GRAL (Gruppo di Ricerche Archeostoriche del Lambro).
The museum is organized today into four sections dedicated to ethnography, archaeology, the history of writing and printing and, in the detached branch in Cascina Cà Nova, to the world of farming. It is possible, even for the youngest children, to observe from life precious ancient materials and numerous everyday objects that, now in disuse, tell of the recent and distant past.
