The splendid Villa Trivulzio di Omate is a Villa di Delizia that stands in a splendid 24-hectare park, one of the most picturesque in Brianza, which belonged in the 16th century to the Trivulzio Princes, a family of the great Lombard nobility. Renovated in the 1700s to a design by architect Giovanni Ruggeri, whose skillful contribution led to a new definition of the interior spaces and a readjustment of the pre-existing structures following the architectural canons of the time.
The oldest testimony regarding the beauty of the garden is from the writer Montesquieu, who in his travel notes reports having been to Omate in 1728.
