In the center of the village stands the 15th-century castle, built by Martino da Corte in 1467, probably on an earlier 10th-century fortress. The building, made of bricks that are still visible, has Ghibelline-style battlements and a square watchtower ending in a loggia with two mullioned windows. The structure is built around an inner courtyard and was surrounded by a moat. The round-arched entrance portal and signs of the ancient drawbridge can still be seen today. Above can be recognized the plaque depicting the coat of arms of the founder Da Corte, deputy of the Fabbrica del Duomo and treasurer of the ducal court.
