Collodi's work is represented in this show as faithfully as possible to the original text, trying to minimize changes in order to return to the viewer a dynamic narrative, with deeply characterized characters and inspired by the commedia dell'arte.
The centerpiece of the narrative is the change of Pinocchio as he grows from a piece of wood to a puppet and finally to a real child, allegorically represented by the journey that starts from the home environment, but is soon abandoned to learn about the outside world, a transformation that is also reflected in the elements of the set design.
