From October 4 to November 9, 2025, the Serrone della Reggia di Monza is hosting "Lacus Memoriae", a new edition of the International Watercolor Exhibition, promoted by the Province of Monza and Brianza in collaboration with the International Academy of Watercolor with the concession of the Villa Reale and Park of Monza Consortium.
The theme chosen for this edition, "Lacus Memoriae - The sign of water between memory and creation", transforms the exhibition into a space for visual and poetic reflection. Water, the founding element of watercolor, becomes a metaphor for what remains, what resurfaces, what shapes us. Each work exhibited is a fragment of an imaginary lake, where contemporary painting meets the mystery of the ancient.
During the exhibition period, Lacus Memoriae will be enlivened by a rich program of collateral events: workshops and master classes with the featured masters, guided tours, painting en plein air, lectures, musical moments and the painting extemporaneous in the Royal Gardens, on the occasion of the annual event "The Foliage."
The exhibition is at free admissionand will be open Wednesday through Sunday.
