The Civic Museums of Monza host a solo exhibition dedicated to internationally renowned photographer Heinz Schattner, one of the proposals of the widespread review of photography in the city Monza Photo Fest.
German by birth and currently residing in Italy, he trained artistically in Paris and London, elaborating a very personal style that blends in a fascinating dialogue the needs of commissioned photography with the suggestions of research photography. Tackling with great success the world of fashion, he investigates it with that particularly original gaze that he then transfers to his personal investigations. Here emerges his predilection for dreamlike visions, disorienting images, atmospheres that avowedly refer to surreal perspectives that turn his photographs into disorienting occasions in front of which every observer feels pleasantly disoriented.
