This solo exhibition, part of the diffuse review of auteur photography Monza Photo Fest 2024, recounts the work of contemporary artist and photographer Maurizio Galimberti, who has become internationally famous for his incredible Polaroid Mosaics.
Each of his works represents a moment in a quest that is directed in the most diverse directions and is animated by an enthusiasm that Maurizio Galimberti conveys to those who are enchanted by his photographs.
At the same time as some decompositions used to interpret the landscapes of large cities, here is presented a very recent and unpublished work made in New York. The use of a very refined black and white and the choice to shoot in absolute freedom in the urban context of the Big Apple reveals a lesser-known aspect of the photographer, that of curiosity for a quotidianness of which he knows how to capture the subtly spectacular aspect.
