"From Napoleon to Umberto II - History of the Kingdom of Italy" is a major historical exhibition hosted at the Belvedere Floor of the Villa Reale in Monza, designed to offer an immersive and scientifically rigorous journey through the birth, rise and conclusion of the Kingdom of Italy.
It is not just a chronological narrative, but a journey among authentic testimonies that spanned two centuries of history: official paintings, busts and sculptures, original uniforms, decorations, autographed documents and personal objects that restore the human and institutional face of a decisive era for national identity.
On the occasion of the centenary of the death of Queen Margaret of Savoy, the exhibition devotes a special focus to the first Queen of Italy and her connection with the Villa Reale in Monza, which she received as a wedding gift in 1868 and became a residence of representation and cultural life.
Visiting the exhibition means entering a space where history and architecture dialogue, and where the past becomes a living experience once again.
The visit experience is enriched by an audio guide included in the ticket, while on selected dates it is possible to participate in guided tours with the curator, for an additional fee.
