A reenactment with late‑19th‑century costumed performers and a horse‑drawn omnibus. A special ride is organized between Largo Mazzini (Via Italia) and the Arengario (Piazza Roma), along the route used by horse trams from 1883 to 1900. Followed by an exhibition of the vehicle, with the public allowed to board.

Monza from the Tramway to the Metro: the 150th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Milan–Monza Tramway
Sala Maddalena - 9:00 PM
The inauguration of the Milan–Monza horse-drawn tramway took place on July 8, 1876. The inaugural journey of Italy’s first interurban tram line was attended by the future King Umberto of Savoy. The trip lasted more than an hour, with horses being replaced at intermediate stations to ensure the animals could rest along the route. In 1900, the line was electrified. A staged reading specially written by Ettore Radice, featuring two actorsction of original images and documents.

Guided tour on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Queen Margherita of Savoy. Starting from the Expiatory Chapel, the itinerary will lead visitors through the neighborhood surrounding the Villa Reale to discover remarkable examples of Art Nouveau architecture. Popular in Italy between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, this style took on a distinctive interpretation in Monza known as the “Margherita style”, a tribute to the queen whose death centenary is being commemorated.
