An exhibition of more than 270 works, where, surrealism comes to life in most different themes, like for exemple religion, italian and international literature, poetry, love and philosophy. The journey through the depths of the unconscious that begins with the tables of the Holy Bible, combining the sacred with the dalinian symbolism.
The tragedy of William Shakespeare comes alive in the 10 representations that transport the visitor in the swirl of the troubled love of Romeo and his beloved Juliet.
The beauty of the Belvedere room is further enriched by the works taken from the alchemy of the philosophers, an analysis of the mysterious alchemical technique enclosed in splendid parchments, adorned with precious stones specially chosen by the artist during the realization.
The theme of religion is taken up with pater noster, a basic prayer of Christianity and fundamental to the redeemed soul of Salvador Dali.
The Faggio and Platano rooms, recommended to an adult audience, show us the erotic side of the Catalan artist’s style, where the memories of Giacomo Casanova and the poems of “Amori gialli” by Tristan Corbière approach us the nuances of carnal, physical and courteous love on the one side, and, necessarily platonic, on the other.
The Divine Comedy, Italian cultural pillar, is elaborated in a psychoanalytic key where demons, sinners, penitents and pure souls populate the scene, accompanying Dante, Virgil, Beatrice and the visitor himself on a journey through the three kingdoms, filled with hope, effort and joy.
